Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer II in a hybrid Boston office, responsible for bridging foundational design and project leadership by owning mechanical system layouts (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection). Perform complex load calculations, equipment selection, and develop project deliverables. Utilize Revit/AutoCAD for system engineering, read plans and specifications, apply building codes and industry standards, and contribute to cost opinions and site reports. Collaborate with a Lead Engineer, communicate with clients and project teammates, support QMP implementation, and participate in site visits to ensure quality and precision of mechanical design.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 1-2 years mechanical engineering experience or equivalent
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and engineering concepts
- Proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD
- Understanding of building codes and industry standards
- Ability to perform engineering calculations and equipment selection
- Interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members
