Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer II responsible for designing and analyzing components and assemblies with a focus on structural integrity. Design hardware based on customer specifications using SolidWorks; collaborate with RF and Manufacturing/Production to ensure design for manufacturability; perform static and dynamic analyses (modal, static, random vibration, thermoelastic) using NEi/NX Nastran and Femap; create and maintain documentation; communicate technical information internally and with customers/vendors; support production, testing, and R&D activities; assist with proposals and provide hours estimates and mockups; review drawings using GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis; ensure compliance with ITAR/EAR and internal quality standards; participate in continuous improvement and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering
- At least 2 years of related design experience in aerospace
- SolidWorks or similar CAD experience
- Experience with NEi/NX Nastran, Femap or similar analysis software
- Familiarity with composite structural design
- Manufacturing processes including CNC machining and 3D printing
- ERP systems experience
- Experience assembling and delivering technical presentations
- Project management skills for engineering content
