Job Summary
Design, develop, and execute innovative automation solutions for complex manufacturing challenges while evaluating standard techniques and adapting methods for nonroutine project aspects. Collaborate with team members to review technical outputs, influence department decisions, and implement significant design and workflow improvements. Apply standard and advanced engineering principles to solve common problems autonomously with minimal supervision. Requires a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, 3+ years of experience, CAD proficiency, and 25% travel. Onsite at the Greenville, South Carolina facility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Associate's degree (2-year) with experience from accredited program (ABET/EAC), or equivalent relevant professional experience
- 3+ years' work experience as a Mechanical Engineer
- Experienced with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, NX, AutoCAD)
- Proficient in the application of standard and advanced engineering principles, practices, and procedures
- Breadth and depth of experience to enterprise engineering problems
- Able to quickly recognize and fix common engineering problems based on experience, including review and critique of others' work
- FE Exam, or EIT desirable
Desired Qualifications
- Current or prior JR Automation experience, or experience in the automation industry is strongly preferred
- Travel required up to 25% including overnight and international
