Job Summary

Design, validate, and bring new products to market for industrial, commercial, residential, and retail generator or power tool areas. Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, and bills of materials while specifying precise functional requirements. Develop moderately complex components, execute fitness-for-use testing, and evaluate design effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, internal personnel, and manufacturing partners to optimize designs for manufacturability and support product development plans. Develop less experienced engineers and act as SAP Super User.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 3 or more years of relevant work experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Design experience with a variety of materials (plastics, alumni castings, sheet metal, etc.)
  • basic knowledge of material specs and use
  • Experience in new product design and development
  • Experience conducting analysis using FEA, CFD, etc.
  • Experience with 3D modeling such as Creo or SolidWorks
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP
