Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer II to join the Fire & Overheat Linear Detection group in Wilson, NC, contributing to design, development, qualification, certification, production and field support of aircraft fire and overheat detection systems for military and commercial applications. Responsibilities include generating new designs, interpreting requirements into design, creating and reviewing drawings and data packages, supporting system life cycle activities, working with cross-functional teams, handling change requests, and traveling as needed (~5%). Familiarity with GD&T, machined parts, welding, metal fabrication, and documentation of hardware is preferred. Onsite role based in Wilson, NC.
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- U.S. citizenship is required
