Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer II responsible for developing and supporting avionics-related mechanical designs, prototyping, analysis, design verification, and transitioning products from development to production. Tasks include creating and modifying designs and documentation, supporting production, addressing production and field testing challenges, designing test stations, fixtures, cables, and interconnects, performing tolerance analyses, and presenting technical information to peers and customers. Requires collaboration with mechanical, electrical, software, and system engineers; familiarity with NX Designer and Solidworks; emphasis on environmental considerations (thermal, vibration) and design verification through full project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Knowledge of NX Designer, Solidworks, or common fabrication practices (subtractive and additive)
- Demonstrated practical experience with mechanical engineering design
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required
