Job Summary
Independently apply standard design engineering techniques on small projects or segments of larger work, owning coordination, analyses, and documentation while serving as Engineer of Record (EOR). Develop design concepts with senior oversight, perform studies using industry software, and coordinate with other disciplines to determine equipment needs and operating procedures. Attend meetings with owners, clients, and architects to document decisions, evaluate designer work for technical accuracy, and lead job-site visits to monitor progress against specifications and codes. Identify model/drawing collisions, develop discipline man-hour budgets, and review shop drawings to respond to contractor questions. Assist in preparing QA/QC plans and contribute to technical documentation and client presentations. Maintain awareness of industry trends and code changes, while providing training and mentoring to engineers and EITs. This role offers a $10K–$25K sign-on bonus and relocation packages for candidates moving from anywhere in the U.S.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college
- four years applicable experience in discipline design and analysis
- Registered Professional Engineer
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Knowledge of engineering theories and methodologies
- proficiency with industry software (Revit and AutoCAD)
- Knowledge of discipline‐specific tools (e.g., Trace700, SKM)
