Mechanical Engineer I

Apply standard design engineering techniques on small projects or segments of larger work, supporting analyses, drawings, coordination, and client communication. Begin assuming responsible charge for portions of project designs under supervision, developing design concepts with oversight from the EOR and performing engineering studies using industry software. Oversee preparation of drawings and documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards while reviewing colleague work. Coordinate equipment and design space requirements with architects and other disciplines, attend design meetings, and document decisions. Coordinate with authorities to incorporate construction and code requirements, perform load calculations and equipment selection, and respond to contractor questions during bid and construction. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and maintain detailed records of communications. Support training and mentoring of designers and EITs while contributing to lessons learned.
