Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer I will join the Airborne Sensor RF Design department supporting mechanical design activities for airborne RF sensor hardware, focusing on mechanical packaging, layout, and integration of RF electronics and assemblies. Responsibilities include developing 3D CAD models in CREO, creating engineering drawings with GD&T for Windchill configuration control, supporting packaging and integration of subassemblies, performing tolerance studies and basic structural considerations, participating in design reviews and root-cause analyses, collaborating with EE/systems/manufacturing/test teams, and documenting work per program standards. Opportunities include exposure to airborne RF sensor development and mentorship across sensor and RF programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field
- Experience in CAD modeling tools (CREO Parametric preferred)
- Engineering project, internship, research, coursework, or hands-on project experience
Additional Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance; must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance
