Job Summary
Design products that meet customer and company specifications while selecting materials and manufacturing processes to stay within target costs. Prepare detailed 3D mechanical designs and fabrication drawings in SolidWorks, then analyze them for thermal and structural performance. Coordinate with vendors to ensure quality inspections meet AS9100 standards and military requirements, and present technical solutions to clients. Develop cost-effective product designs and manage documentation to ensure 100% on-time, on-budget completion. This Mechanical Engineer I role supports the company's vision for future growth through innovative, service-oriented engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- At least 1+ years of experience as an engineer in a highly technical, R&D, and/or manufacturing environment or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks for 2D and 3D mechanical drawings preferred.
- Systems integration experience.
- Experience designing flight and military-grade hardware is a plus
- Thermal and structural analysis experience is a plus
