Job Summary
Support flowcell manufacturing, assembly, and process development for consumable fluidic devices used in next-generation single-molecule DNA sequencing technology. Assist with SolidWorks design activities, engineering documentation, and dimensional, mechanical, and surface metrology measurements. Conduct component testing, quality inspections, and sample preparation for external analysis while managing inventory, shipping, and laboratory support. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support project milestones. This long-term contract offers a $52/hr W2 rate with medical, dental, vision, paid sick leave, and 401K benefits for an engineer based in Santa Clara, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 0–2 years of industry experience
- hands-on laboratory or engineering experience
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets
- Experience with microfluidics, microfabrication, materials characterization, metrology, or microscopy
