Design, develop, and integrate hardware for high-speed air vehicles; own full design lifecycles from concept to deployment; apply first principles of physics to guide decisions; lead design reviews, analyses, and vendor interactions; build prototypes and conduct tests; support hardware demonstrations with customers; travel to test sites or vendor locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in advanced air vehicle programs
- Familiarity with hypersonic missile systems and military standards
- Hands-on experience integrating electrical and mechanical subsystems into high-speed air vehicles
- Proficiency in designing mechanical parts using CAD software and a strong understanding of manufacturing methods (machining, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing, injection molding, and lamination)
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and first principles
- BS or higher degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
