Job Summary
Review project scope, establish mechanical budgets, and lead design of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and fire protection systems for new construction and renovations. Develop construction drawings, specifications, and feasibility studies while performing calculations and energy modeling using Revit, AutoCAD, and Trane Trace 700. Conduct field measurements, review drawings for code compliance, and manage organized project files containing calculations and correspondence. Mentor junior staff and communicate directly with owners during design team meetings. Collaborate with a global team of technical experts to deliver forward-thinking solutions for industrial, commercial, and federal projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field
- 5-14 years of related experience in mechanical engineering (HVAC/building systems)
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
- Proficiency with Trane Trace 700 or other building energy calculation software
- Knowledge in ProjectWise BIM360 and Carrier HAP
