Job Summary
Responsible for researching, planning, developing, designing, and modifying mechanical and hydraulic products and systems; coordinating fabrication, operation, installation, and repair; and assisting other engineering personnel with design and manufacturing standards. Duties include assisting engineering personnel with daily tasks, liaising between engineering and production/manufacturing, aiding in fabrication of equipment and development of testing methods, designing/modifying products and systems to interface with machines using CAD software, supporting installation activities to ensure conformance to specifications, coordinating operation/maintenance/repair for optimum utilization of equipment, creating parts numbers and BOMs using MRP, providing technical assistance to Sales/Service/Rebuild/Parts, processing engineering change orders, and performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Excellent computer skills
- Experience using SolidWorks or comparable 3-D modeling software
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, multi-tasking and planning skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Creates parts numbers and bills of materials using MRP system
