Job Summary
As a Mechanical Engineer/Project Engineer (Mid Level) at Genesis AEC, you will support a team of mechanical engineers and designers to deliver high-quality designs for technically challenging projects in life sciences, including HVAC and Central Utility systems, instrumentation and control design, and coordination with multi-discipline teams. You will perform engineering calculations (HVAC load, fan static pressure, hydraulic analyses), develop airflow and zoning diagrams, assist with equipment specifications, review submittals and RFI responses, and contribute to field surveys and master planning. A BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, 5-10 years of experience, proficiency in AutoCAD/REVIT and HVAC software, and strong communication and teamwork are required. Preferred qualifications include experience in Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Life Science, FE Certification and PE Licensure, and experience building and leading teams. The role offers a hybrid in-office and remote schedule with a 9-hour Mon-Thu/4-hour Fri pattern and opportunities for professional growth and license support.
Required Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5-10 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibilities
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT
- Proficiency in computerized HVAC load calculation and energy software
- Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Professional software
- Team-orientation and collaboration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
