Job Summary
Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, components, and assemblies for industrial machinery from concept through production release. Create detailed CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation ensuring designs are accurate, manufacturable, and compliant with standards. Collaborate with electrical engineering, production, and quality assurance to integrate mechanical designs into complete machine systems. Manage project scope, timelines, and deliverables while conducting design reviews, prototype builds, and testing to verify performance and safety. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues in production and the field, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions. Mentor junior engineers and interns to support their technical growth. Prepare bills of materials, specifications, and engineering change orders. Requires 5–10 years of experience in mechanical engineering with proficiency in 3D CAD software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 5–10 years of experience in mechanical engineering
- experience with industrial equipment, machinery, or capital equipment
- expertise in designing mechanical systems and components for industrial or manufacturing applications
- Strong proficiency with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidEdge, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
- associated drawing/detailing practices
- Solid working knowledge of engineering materials
