Job Summary
Coordinate and exchange technical information with other project engineering disciplines while participating in design review meetings with customers, subcontractors, and vendors. Assist with or prepare weekly progress reports and develop Process Flow Diagrams, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, and facility plot plans. Perform quality mechanical drawing checks and cross-discipline reviews to ensure designs are safe, compliant, and constructible. Execute mechanical calculations to validate specifications and support procurement processes for long-lead equipment. Manage overall project scope, budget, and schedule for small- to mid-scale projects, leading internal team meetings and independently managing technical execution. Located in Derwent, Ohio, this role offers strong growth opportunities and mentorship.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge or developing understanding of ANSI pipe schedules
- Working knowledge or developing understanding of flange pressure and temperature ratings
- Working knowledge or developing understanding of pipe, fitting, and flange materials
- Working knowledge or developing understanding of API, ASTM, ASME, and MSS material specifications
- 5+ years of experience with natural gas or related fields
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as DOT Part 192, ASME B31.3, and ASME B31.8 (level dependent)
- Knowledge of common mechanical equipment used in industrial and natural gas facilities
- Understanding of general construction practices and sequencing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team
