Job Summary
Maintenance and optimization of precision manufacturing equipment with emphasis on mechanical systems, reliability, and performance. Responsibilities include preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment (e.g., laser cutting, film casting and cutting, dispensing, AVI systems); diagnosing and resolving mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electro-mechanical issues; troubleshooting to minimize downtime; identifying root causes of equipment failures and implementing corrective actions. Perform machine setup, fine-tuning, calibration, and parameter adjustments to meet production specs; calibrate precision equipment for accuracy, repeatability, and consistent quality output; optimize machine settings to improve process stability, efficiency, and yield; support production by ensuring machines operate within defined process parameters. Lead or support installation and commissioning of new equipment and production lines; ensure proper mechanical assembly, alignment, leveling, and fit-up; integrate machines with automation systems and ensure proper interfacing; conduct trial runs, testing, and validation. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve efficiency; recommend long-term solutions for recurring mechanical issues. Coordinate with contractors and vendors for repair, servicing, and installations; ensure quality and safety compliance for external works. Maintain maintenance records, SOPs, and equipment logs; ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Provide technical support to production teams; collaborate with process, quality, and operations teams; train operators on machine operation and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting
- Experience with automated equipment is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiar in operation, maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems used in a manufacturing environment
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams regionally and locally
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data and support informed decision‐making
- Proficient in English (Spoken and Written)
