Job Summary
Field Service Mechanical Engineer role supporting ENC’s service department with technical engineering assistance, drawings and documentation, root cause analysis, and collaboration across Engineering, Warranty, Production, and Field Service to improve vehicle reliability and field performance. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical, electrical, multiplex, and high-voltage vehicle systems; developing and revising engineering drawings and service documentation; leading troubleshooting on escalated issues; supporting training material and service bulletins; participating in customer visits and field campaigns; and driving continuous improvement to reduce downtime and enhance customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in engineering, technical support, field service, heavy-duty vehicle or related industry experience
- Experience supporting troubleshooting, product improvements, warranty support, root cause analysis or serviceability initiatives
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
- Knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle systems including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, suspension, door, multiplex, and powertrain systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple departments
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required certifications or training related to vehicle systems, high-voltage systems, or customer site access requirements
- Ability to occasionally travel in support of customer visits, field activities, and technical meetings
