Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer-in-Training III to serve as a cornerstone of the mechanical design team for K–12 and Higher Education facilities. Architect HVAC and mechanical systems with advanced engineering principles and thermal calculations; lead the development of construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD; author mechanical specifications; manage medium to large-scale projects through concept to construction administration; conduct RFIs, submittals, and site visits; coordinate with electrical and plumbing disciplines; mentor EIT I & II staff and interns; participate in client meetings to translate engineering solutions into actionable project goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from an ABET-accredited program
- Registered Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in the State of Texas; must have attempted the Texas PE Exam at least twice
- 4+ years of professional experience in an MEP consulting engineering environment
- Advanced command of Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven track record designing HVAC systems, central plants, temperature controls, and IAQ systems
