Job Summary

Mechanical Engineer with technical leadership responsibility leading new product development of mechanical and electro-mechanical products. Drive and support the phase-gate development process; lead design analyses (FEA, CFD), design reviews, DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and DFM reviews; serve as product expert coordinating with supply chain, manufacturing engineering, sales, and quality; interact with customers and suppliers on technical topics; collaborate with Program Manager to estimate costs and development timelines; develop and write design validation test specifications and ensure proper validation with the test lab; mentor and train junior engineers and drafters to build a strong engineering organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • MS in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in 3D mechanical design (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Proficient in analysis tools (FEA, CFD)
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with injection molding/die casting processes and design practices
  • Knowledge of CSA Class1, Div 2 and UL (preferred)
