Mechanical Engineer/Designer-HVAC (Entry Level)

Job Summary
Assist in designing HVAC and building mechanical systems under licensed engineers, developing construction drawings and models in Autodesk Revit. Perform engineering calculations for equipment selection and system sizing while reviewing building codes and industry standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to produce coordinated construction documents, conduct site visits for field investigations, and support construction administration through RFI responses and shop drawing reviews. Research equipment alternatives based on energy efficiency and constructability, participate in QA/QC reviews, and prepare technical documentation. Manage assigned tasks to meet project schedules with attention to detail, continuing to develop skills through mentorship and training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field (for Designer positions), or equivalent combination of education and experience considered
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) a plus
- Coursework or internship experience with HVAC systems and/or an architectural and engineering (A/E) firm preferred
- Read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and other relevant reports
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to solve complex engineering problems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with multidisciplinary teams and clients
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning in the field of mechanical engineering
- Basic understanding of HVAC system design principles and applicable building codes and standards
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, or other relevant software design platforms
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365
- Ability to demonstrate awareness and safely navigate an active construction site
- Flexibility in work hours may be required to meet project deadlines and business needs
- This position may require occasional travel, some of which may be international
Desired Qualifications

- Exposure to HVAC and calculation software such as Trane TRAE 3D Plus or Carrier HAP is a plus
