Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer role in Cyprus focusing on mechanical system work for construction projects, including commercial heating and cooling systems with emphasis on chilled water HVAC. Responsibilities include reviewing mechanical designs and documentation, evaluating HVAC/plumbing/mechanical systems for performance and compliance, conducting inspections and technical assessments, ensuring regulatory/code compliance, and supporting system testing, commissioning, and operational readiness. Requires on-site work on projects, a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent certification, and 7+ years of relevant experience; candidates should be fluent in English and able to coordinate with project teams, contractors, and other disciplines.
Required Qualifications
- Certified and authorized tradesperson in government regulated trades for commercial heating and cooling systems, including chilled water HVAC systems
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction projects of similar scope, scale, and quality
- Mechanical Engineering degree or valid mechanical design license or equivalent professional certification
- Ability to work on site as project needs require
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC systems, codes, standards, and safety practice
- For Project Engineer, completed Part 1 of Standard Form 330 (SF 330) and detailed resume with general and project related qualifications and experience
- Proficient in written and verbal English
