Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer responsible for mechanical system work on construction projects, including commercial heating and cooling systems with a focus on chilled water HVAC systems. You will ensure compliance with project requirements, codes, standards, and safety rules; support design review, installation oversight, testing, and system verification; and coordinate with the project team, contractors, and other disciplines to ensure proper mechanical system performance and successful project completion.
Required Qualifications
- Certified and authorized tradesperson in government regulated trades for commercial heating and cooling systems, including chilled water HVAC systems.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction projects of similar scope, scale, and quality.
- Mechanical Engineering degree or valid mechanical design license or equivalent professional certification.
- Ability to work on site as project needs require.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC systems, codes, standards, and safety practice.
- For Project Engineer, completed Part 1 of Standard Form 330 (SF 330) and detailed resume with general and project related qualifications and experience.
- Proficient in written and verbal English.
