Job Summary
Seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the food and beverage industry to provide leadership and improve mechanical processes related to sugar beet processing. Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in industrial processes. Must possess strong mechanical knowledge and leadership skills, with a focus on safety and preventive maintenance. Strong communication skills and proficiency in engineering design tools are essential. Will not sponsor H1B visas.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Maintenance Engineering
- A minimum of 5 years as a mechanical engineer
- Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automation controls
- Experience with equipment reliability, preventive and predictive maintenance
- Strong customer focus mind-set
- Excellent computer competence (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge with staff
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with 2D and 3D engineering design tools (AutoCAD, ProE, etc.)
- Mathematical computing and analysis tools (MATLAB, Excel, Power Bi, Python, LabView, etc.)
- Knowledge of engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, PROMECHNICA, etc.)
- Experience using continuous improvement tools like Lean Six Sigma and Root Cause Analysis
- Experience managing improvement projects
- Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and materials management
