Job Summary
Seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design innovative products at Cricut. Requires technical expertise and project management skills. Role includes collaboration and regular travel. Located in South Jordan, Utah, in-office work required.
Required Qualifications
- Currently live inside the United States of America
- Must live in Salt Lake City, Utah or be willing to relocate before starting
- Be willing and able to work in office 5 days/week
- Be able to work legally in the US for any employer
- Be willing and able to travel regularly to Asia (China, Malaysia) several times a year
Desired Qualifications
- Experience designing consumer based products, electro-mechanical devices, medical devices or similar.
- Experience working with overseas teams in person and remotely, describing technical processes verbally and in writing.
- Proficient in the use of 3D CAD (CREO preferred)
- Interest in and an aptitude for robotics, kinematics, dynamics, mechatronics, mechanism design, etc.
- Experienced in injection molded plastics design, tooling best practices and process tuning.
- Familiar with sheet metal design and fabrication processes
- Familiar with rapid prototype techniques and processes
- Proficient in the application of GD&T.
- Effective communicator.
