Job Summary
Lead mechanical design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems from concept through construction for high-performance buildings across diverse markets. Develop cost-effective design solutions, perform site investigations, and collaborate with clients, architects, and code officials to prepare diagrams, layouts, and technical specifications. Review designs for code compliance and energy performance while supporting construction administration tasks including shop drawing reviews and punch lists. Utilize Revit and AutoCAD to coordinate designs with all disciplines and integrate green building strategies such as LEED or Green Globes. Manage multiple tasks to deliver high-quality results on time and on budget. Requires five or more years of mechanical design experience and proficiency with AutoCAD and REVIT.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5+) years of mechanical design experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and REVIT
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, FTP share sites, and engineering software related to system designs and load calculations
- current work authorization in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- PE or FE sitting for PE
- LEED AP, BD+C, CEM, Green Building Associates Certification or similar certifications
- Experienced in designing either K-12, Higher Education, Public Safety, Healthcare, Multi-family, and/or Government Facilities building types
- Experience in HVAC, plumbing, or fire protection design (3+ years preferred)
