Job Summary
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards while continuously improving equipment reliability through best maintenance practices. Perform detailed technical calculations, read blueprints, and recommend or execute predictive, preventative, and emergency maintenance on equipment. Resolve equipment malfunctions, manage project planning and cost controlling, and supervise a crew of hourly maintenance employees. Coordinate work with upstream and downstream operations and contractors to optimize production efficiencies. Work in a hot, dusty environment on different shifts for a multi-level organization operating 24/7.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited school
- Proven communication (verbal and written), analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to work in a hot, dusty environment
- Climbing stairs, ladders, and walking inclines
- Able to work/walk safely on uneven surfaces
- Ability to perform duties on different shifts for a multi-level organization which operates 24/7
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Desired Qualifications
- Engineering experience in steel mill, manufacturing, process, production, or equivalent facility
- Maintenance background with steel industry experience
- Three (3) years of experience in a heavy industrial environment
