Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer - full-time role focused on hands-on engineering support for plant operations and driving continuous improvement. Responsibilities include designing machinery components and tooling using CAD (SolidWorks), analyzing and modifying equipment, improving manufacturing processes to reduce waste and enhance safety, creating work instructions, overseeing mechanical installations, and training mechanics. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize tooling, fixtures, and changeover times; conducts data-driven problem solving (root-cause analysis) and supports lean manufacturing efforts across the facility. Requires strong communication skills, ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, and experience with ERP/mfg systems; five-plus years manufacturing experience and a BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Certifications in Lean Six Sigma and GD&T and SolidWorks CSWA/CSWP are a plus.
