Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary
Design HVAC systems including air distribution, heating, cooling, ventilation, and controls; prepare mechanical calculations (loads, ventilation, equipment sizing); develop construction documents including plans, specifications, and schedules; coordinate designs with electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and architectural teams; participate in project meetings and provide technical support throughout design and construction; respond to RFIs, review submittals, and support construction administration; ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements; assist with field visits and site observations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical/HVAC design within an MEP consulting environment
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, building codes, and energy efficiency principles
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure preferred
