Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer needed to design and deliver HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial building projects. Responsibilities include design of HVAC systems with load calculations, equipment sizing, ductwork and piping layouts; development of construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD; performing energy calculations to ensure code compliance (ASHRAE, IECC, local codes); coordinating with electrical, plumbing, and structural disciplines; participating in project meetings with clients, architects, and contractors; conducting site visits and field investigations; providing construction administration support; reviewing submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings; assisting with project scheduling, budgeting, and deliverable deadlines. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, 2–8+ years of experience in MEP/building systems design, proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, experience with HVAC load calculation software (Trace, HAP), knowledge of ASHRAE standards and mechanical codes, and strong communication/coordination skills. Preferred qualifications include EIT/PE license, healthcare/commercial/industrial project experience, and familiarity with energy modeling or LEED.
