Job Summary
Mechanical PE with 5-8 years of experience leads design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for healthcare, higher education, institutional facilities, federal, state and local government, K-12 education and other commercial/industrial facilities. Acts as a technical lead on multi-discipline projects, may serve as Engineer of Record, and interfaces with clients. Produces design/construction drawings and specifications using REVIT and AutoCAD; performs field observations; evaluates mechanical systems; mentors subordinate staff; ensures designs meet standards and regulations; travels within central/east/north Florida; requires in-person work at a Winter Park, FL office at least three days per week.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering with mechanical focus, from an ABET-accredited university
- 5-8 years of documented applicable experience
- Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida, with current NCEES
- Resides in the greater Central Florida area, such as within one of the following counties: Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Lake, Volusia, Brevard
- Ability to work in person a minimum of three (3) days weekly in the local office located in northeast Orange County near UCF
- Ability to travel to project locations and client meetings throughout central, east and north Florida
- Significant experience using Autodesk REVIT
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
- Strong knowledge of ASHRAE Standards commensurate with years of experience
- Ability to climb ladders and perform field survey duties
- Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record
