Job Summary
Lead the design of mechanical systems for projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection; conduct analyses of systems; develop detailed drawings, specifications, and reports; manage inter-disciplinary coordination with project managers, architects, and other engineers; review and approve shop drawings and change orders; mentor junior engineers; ensure compliance with building codes and standards; provide technical direction during design reviews, pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases; communicate technical information to clients and PMs; require PE licensure and a minimum of 10 years of construction-focused mechanical engineering experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a strong background in the construction industry or related sectors
- Proven experience in designing and managing mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) in commercial, industrial, or residential projects
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Excel for mechanical system design and analysis
