Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer needed to design and oversee HVAC systems for diverse commercial projects (education facilities, municipal, office, medical, data centers, retail, etc.). Responsibilities include preparing HVAC production drawings, redline drafting, submittal reviews, RFI/PCR responses, site visits, client meetings, and coordination across disciplines. Requires 8+ years of experience, proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP, and EIT certification; Texas PE license is a plus. Roles involves supervising junior staff, leading project coordination, and ensuring code compliance. Office-based in the Dallas Fort Worth area; full-time.
Required Qualifications
- EIT certification
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit MEP
- 8+ years of experience designing mechanical systems for commercial buildings
- Experience designing central plants (4-pipe and 2-pipe) and systems including chillers, boilers, cooling towers
- Ability to identify applicable codes in project jurisdictions
- Experience with energy modeling is a plus
- ASHE/ASHRAE or AEE involvement is a plus
- Proficiency with HVAC load calculation software such as Carrier HAP, Trane Trace, and/or eQuest
- MS Office proficiency
