Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer - Camera role responsible for participating in design and development activities for automotive electronics products. Key duties include customer requirement analysis, preparation of technical documentation and design reviews (DFMEA, DRBFM, test reports, CAE analyses, approval drawings), implementing design and production changes with risk analysis, coordinating with internal and external teams (domestic and overseas) to ensure project goals, and performing cross-functional collaboration with teams in PM, sales, system, electronics, optics, software, quality, and manufacturing. Required are a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 10+ years of experience designing aluminum die-cast and plastic automotive components, proactive, self-driven work style, ability to clearly convey customer expectations to international teams, and strong communication skills in Japanese (business level) with proficiency in English for written communications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechatronics, or related)
- Experience with aluminum die casting and plastic part design for automotive components
- 10+ years of mass-production development experience in automotive parts
- Ability to lead by example and proactively perform tasks
- Ability to clearly communicate customer expectations to international team members
- Active collaboration with domestic and overseas teams including PM, sales, system, electronics, optics, software, quality, and factories
- Japanese business level for customer communications; willingness to use English in work communications
