Job Summary
Review client requests for proposals, act as an Orbital representative at bid walkdowns, and prepare manhour estimates. Evaluate piping specifications and equipment designs for heavy industrial applications, including pipe stress and hydraulic analysis. Manage project progress relative to established plans, schedules, and budgets while supervising other engineers. Establish project design bases through interpretation of industry codes and standards. Provide technical support for customers and regional business development initiatives. This role requires a PE-certified Mechanical Engineer with 10-15 years of experience in the petrochemical and oil & gas sectors. The position is based in Baton Rouge, LA, with a competitive salary range of $150,000-$190,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
- 10-15 years of prior professional experience
- Exposure to Refineries & Petrochemical and Midstream Oil & Gas industries
- Proficiency in the Microsoft suite, Bluebeam and CAESAR
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification and ability to obtain certification in other states
