Job Summary
Design, analyze, and maintain detailed engineering designs, technical documentation, and models to support production, prototyping, testing, and validation. Plan and conduct testing to validate designs against performance, safety, and reliability requirements while investigating and resolving design or manufacturing issues through root-cause analysis and corrective action. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated product performance, prepare technical reports for design reviews, and contribute to proposal writing. Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements, including support for cost estimation, material selection, and design-for-manufacturability. Manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with composure and focus. General work hours are 8am-5pm Monday through Friday with flexibility for evening hours.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering or related field
- Must be US Person, per US government contracts
- US security clearance is preferred; the ability to obtain upon employment is required
- May require domestic and/or international travel
- General work hours 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday; flexibility to work evening hours when required
- The ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout both office and production environments for extended periods
- Occasional lifting of materials or equipment exceeding 25 lbs
- Fine motor skills
- Visual acuity to read technical documents and inspect components

- Prior experience within defense, aerospace, or another regulated industry, preferred
