Job Summary
Mechanical Engineer to design mechanical enclosures and assemblies for PDUs and RPPs, create detailed SolidWorks models, drawings, and BOMs, and optimize sheet metal components for manufacturability and cost. Collaborates with electrical engineers and fabrication vendors to integrate electrical components, route cables, and ensure manufacturability, validation, and quality. Supports prototyping, testing, root cause analysis, engineering change requests, and maintenance of design documentation; contributes to continuous improvement of mechanical design standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in mechanical design
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (part modeling, assemblies, detailed drawings)
- Experience designing sheet metal enclosures and components
- Understanding of mechanical integration with electrical products/enclosures
- Familiarity with laser cutting, punching, bending, welding
