Job Summary
Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Project Coordinator supporting planning, coordination, execution, and closeout of an institutional project in Vancouver. Responsible for coordinating on-site M&E activities, maintaining M&E schedules, managing RFIs, shop drawings, change documentation, and closeout materials; assisting with monthly progress draws; preparing M&E change orders and tracking CCNs/SIs; coordinating M&E procurement with the project team; facilitating M&E coordination and resolving clashes with trades; maintaining up-to-date drawings and specifications; assisting with M&E coordination meetings; coordinating installation, testing, and commissioning of fire, life safety, and building systems; supporting QA/QC for M&E installations; tracking deficiencies and supporting occupancy and turnover documentation; providing ongoing support to trades, commissioning agents, and third-party consultants.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Construction Management or Engineering
- 3+ years of experience as an M&E Project Coordinator
- Strong experience on institutional, hospital, or medical projects
- Solid understanding of M&E systems, drawings, specifications, and construction processes
- Experience with RFIs, shop drawings, change orders, and contract documentation
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project
- Experience with Procore considered a strong asset
- BIM experience including Navisworks, Revit, and clash detection is an asset
