Job Summary
Install new or relocated equipment and assemble machinery in local facilities for shipment to customer sites. Commission, test, and document installations while troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing automated machines and robotic systems. Perform preventative maintenance, bench work, and part fabrication to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. Lead project and repair work, prioritize production needs, and diagnose malfunctions using mechanical drawings and schematics. Collaborate with Engineering and production teams to evaluate equipment improvements and maintain tools and supplies. Requires 5 years of experience, ABB robot knowledge, and ability to travel 26-30 weeks annually.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical/Electrical Installer with Automation background
- ABB robots experience
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- Valid passport
- Ability to travel to USA and internationally
- Valid driver's license
- Good knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting including hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Advanced level of knowledge and experience reading mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
- Advanced mechanical aptitude
- Ability to use laser levelling equipment
- Ability to fabricate, weld, or machine parts
- Excellent attendance
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to use cranes, lifting straps, rigs, forklifts etc., to safely position and fasten equipment
- Ability to work independently and in team environments in achieving tasks
- Travel 26-30 weeks of the year
