Job Summary
Design mechanical and electrical components and systems for medium/high voltage transformers (up to 69 kV, 20 MVA); perform calculations, develop winding/insulation, cooling, and manufacturing processes; collaborate across global teams; ensure compliance with IEEE/ASME/ISO/UL; create documentation; on-site role in Troy, OH.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and development
- Proficiency in mechanical design and simulation tools and 3D CAD software (SolidWorks)
- Knowledge of mechanical components, structural materials, thermal systems, and fluid dynamics
- Knowledge of core materials, winding types, insulation systems, electromagnetics, and fluid dynamics
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with global teams
- Experience with SAP and commitment to continuous learning are a plus
- Design process automation using SolidWorks
