Job Summary
Strip and refit mechanical, electrical, and trim components on damaged vehicles while checking parts against job cards and reporting discrepancies. Diagnose faults and identify hidden damage, then perform repairs adhering to manufacturer methods. Execute wheel alignment, geometry, suspension, and steering adjustments, completing quality check sheets and updating systems accurately. Conduct air-con re-gas and prepare for ADAS calibration where trained. Requires NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, full UK driving licence, and own tool set. Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an MET Technician or Vehicle Technician in a bodyshop or accident repair environment
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification or experience in light vehicle maintenance, repair or accident repair
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Ability to interpret repair methods, technical data and bodyshop job cards
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Your own tool set
Desired Qualifications
- ATA / IMI MET accreditation, or actively working towards it
- Air conditioning certification (or equivalent meeting EC 307/2008 requirements)
- EV/HEV component removal and replacement qualification
- Four wheel alignment certification
