Job Summary
Develop detailed drawings, bills of materials, and vehicle specifications for custom tool trucks, mobile libraries, and specialty vehicles using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Define component requirements for bodies, HVAC, lighting, and cabinetry while coordinating with purchasing and production to manage material sourcing and quality. Resolve shop floor issues, process change orders, and maintain revision control across engineering, quality assurance, and sales departments. Design for manufacturing and assembly from concept to final product, ensuring all customer requirements are met through iterative feedback. Requires an associate's degree in drafting or mechanical design, one year of manufacturing experience, and a valid driver's license. First shift, five days a week, with hourly compensation ranging from $25.00 to $32.00.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certificate in Computer-Aided Drafting, Mechanical Design, or a related technical field
- Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing
- SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience
- Minimum of one year experience in a manufacturing facility, with a track record of successful interdepartmental collaboration
- Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and Post-offer background check, physical and drug screening

- Normal range of hearing and vision
