Job Summary
Lead mechanical system design and integration for marine products, utilizing CAE tools to develop 3D models for components and layouts with emphasis on complex mechanisms. Execute design validation through warranty data, system testing, and compliance checks while reviewing specifications and drawings to ensure alignment with cost, performance, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate cross-functionally with suppliers and manufacturing teams to support product launches and drive continuous improvement, while mentoring junior engineers and leading design reviews. Travel 10% to support development activities. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required with 5+ years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years in marine product design
- Strong knowledge of production processes and system-level engineering
- Proficient in CAD (Solidworks preferred)
- Proficient in 3D modeling
- Proficient in FEA
- Proficient in design validation tools (FMEA, DVP&R, PLM systems)
- Strong collaboration skills
- Problem-solving abilities

- Capability to mentor
- Capability to work cross-functionally
- Skilled in Microsoft Office
- Skilled in engineering software platforms
- Visa authorization to work in the United States
