Job Summary
Create detailed mechanical and electrical drawings, layouts, and assemblies using CAD tools while maintaining bills of material and part records within PDM/ERP systems. Assist in preparing manufacturing drawings and design documentation by reviewing files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established drafting standards. Support engineers and designers by updating drawings, incorporating design changes, and managing technical documentation revision history. Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure timely delivery of assigned drafting tasks. This entry-level position focuses on learning company standards and supporting design execution under supervision at Toshiba America Energy Systems Corporation in West Allis, WI.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate degree or technical certification in drafting, design, or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in drafting, design, or a related technical field
- internship or academic project experience
- Willingness to learn technical systems (PDM/ERP)
- The employee must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
