Job Summary

Mechanical Designer to design and draft mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for cameras, transporters, lifts, and other devices; create detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings with GD&T for manufacturing; support DFM/DFA with suppliers; assist in product development, documentation, and production release; collaborate with R&D and sustaining engineering; manage documentation, ECNs/ECRs, and MRP maintenance; apply company standards and ensure manufacturability.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience
  • Experience in mechanical design specifically in the design and development of robotics, automation, AGVs, drones, and/or cameras
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software; CSWP certification preferred; Autodesk Inventor familiarity preferred
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes including machining processes, sheet metal forming, & casting
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and experience generating engineering documentation
  • Machine design experience including power transmission, sealing, and mechatronics packaging
  • Knowledge of ASME Y14.100 (Drawing Practices), Y14.5 (GD&T), and weld symbols
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Adobe Acrobat and AutoCAD desirable)
  • Ability to work within established processes and team environments
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, such as IFS, and product lifecycle management systems, such as PDM Pro, is a plus
