Job Summary
Complete detailed design of equipment and plant layouts from sketches or specification outlines, creating 3D designs from complex, multidiscipline engineering concepts. Participate in design reviews to advise on technical drafting difficulties or compliance requirements, while ensuring all engineering designs follow standard Sedgman workflows and procedures. Prepare drawings for plant, equipment, services, or facilities and check deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design specifications. Comply with the Change Management process and contribute to the development of the Quality management system. Focus on meeting expectations for schedule, quality, and client satisfaction while applying diligence to uphold standards and complete tasks efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Diploma in CAD / Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 5-7 years industry experience in a design / consultancy environment
- experience in a design / consultancy environment, preferably supporting mining, minerals processing, or heavy industries
- Experience with projects from conceptual design through to detailed engineering
- Strong expertise in Auto CAD 3D software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Navisworks)
- Ability to work autonomously
- Previous MS Office skills
- Must be based out of our Vancouver office
