Mechanical Designer

Job Summary
Assist in the design and development of mechanical components, systems, and products using Revit software. Conduct basic engineering calculations and analysis, such as heat loads and air flows, to ensure design integrity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior engineers to meet design requirements and project milestones. Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including specifications and plans, while supporting troubleshooting and optimization of mechanical systems. Provide support in material selection, quality control, and assurance processes during production.
Required Qualifications
- 3-8 years working in the consulting engineering industry
- Proficiency in Revit software
- Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility and willingness to work on various projects and tasks, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to drive projects forward
- Occasional to project sites travel
- Raleigh, NC location
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred but not required
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., ASHRAE, IMC) preferred
- Basic knowledge of HVAC Design preferred
