Job Summary

Mechanical Designer in the Power Systems Division focusing on engine-driven products. Responsibilities include solid part modeling, detailing, and creating assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD; drafting and design of machine components; maintaining prints; applying geometric tolerancing; updating electrical drawings; supporting warranty, production, and materials issues; assisting with documentation including part creation and BOM changes. Requires an associates degree in mechanical drafting/design and 3-5+ years of experience; proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM Professional, and AutoCAD; experience with sheet metal, plastics, and aluminum casting/extruding drafting/design; strong teamwork and communication skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates degree in a mechanically oriented course for drafting and design
  • 3-5+ years of experience in mechanical drafting & design
  • Proficient in SolidWorks, PDM Professional, and AutoCAD

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines
  • Ability to select, analyze, and test materials for design based on durability and cost effectiveness
  • Sheet metal, plastics, and aluminum casting/extruding drafting/design experience
  • SolidWorks, PDM Professional, and AutoCAD proficiency
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with a positive attitude and ability to work independently
