Job Summary
The Mechanical Designer will work with the mechanical engineering team to deliver projects for power generation clients. Responsibilities include designing modifications to mechanical systems, developing detailed design models using software such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and Solidworks, preparing detailed drawing packages, developing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, and gathering field information through walkdowns and laser scanning. Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, creativity in problem-solving, and a commitment to safety and project schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering Technology Degree or Certification in drafting and/or related engineering field
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in piping and plant design
- Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards including but not limited to ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, NFPA, ANSI and API
